Spring is finally here. The sun is shining, the weather is getting warmer, and everyone feels not only sprightlier, but also full of energy and verve. Maybe this is why so many events around Malta centre around live music this month. From rock to reggae, from heavy metal to the theatre, this April Malta offers an incredibly vast and diverse number of musical activities one can attend.

The music lover’s journey can start on the eponymous 1st of April itself. Even though generally the 1st of April is more well-known to mischievous pranksters, the events taking place in different locations on this day, are surely nothing to joke about. One of these live events will be taking place at Razzett l-Ahmar in Mosta, where Metall Insula Promotions will be hosting a terrific evening aimed at heavy metal lovers, featuring Australian black-death-trash metal band Detroyer 666, togather with our own local bands Thy Legion and Sahhar. The evening will feature musicians and DJs such as Living Waters, DJ Onns, Salted Dreads, the Freedom Fighters, and Bass Culture. Of course, there are actually more events than the one I mentioned in this article, and attendance, not to mention interest, obviously depends on personal preference and choice. What’s certain is that it’s time to put on your dancing shoes, and start thinking about where you’d like to go this month, since we are really spoilt for choice!
