A few weeks ago there was an unusual event organized in Malta. Humans and animals were walking together from Sliema to Saint Julian’s. It was one of the sunny Saturday mornings in the month November (24th November).

Pet walk was a charity event to show the world how much we human beings depend on animals – together through the good, bad and the ugly.

The participants had to register for symbolic amount of 5 € per animal. All the proceeds were in aid of L-istrina. L-istrina is Malta’s major charity event and belongs to The Malta Community Chest Fund. The Pet Walk was only one of the many events they organized. If you are interested in their activity, feel free to check the whole list online.

The walk started from Fortizza Sliema and ended in front of the Cavalieri Hotel in Saint Julian’s. The pet owners also had a possibility to pamper their little friends by buying special dog cookies against a donation of 2 €. The walk succeed, many people and dogs attended, what shows even the result. They made 615 € in aid of L-istrina.

The pictures of Marc Casolani (official photographer of the Pet Walk event) were just published last week. So go ahead and check them if you are interested or find and tag yourself on the pictures if you attended. More info about the whole event, organizers or participants you find here.
