Sliema is a hub of activity- it’s the main point of shopping on the island and a large percentage of the population live and work in this bustling town. Whether you live, work, or are spending a day shopping in Sliema, you’ll need ideas of where to go for lunch and J’Oli is the perfect destination.
J’Oli is a sandwich bar that opened in March 2014 and serves sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, salads as well as heartier options like pasta, char grills and more. J’Oli is the perfect lunch place in Sliema if you want something healthy and delicious. They promise fresh produce, of the highest quality and good and friendly service with their motto being ‘fun, fresh and fabulous!’. It can be hard to make salad exciting, but these guys have gone above and beyond.
J’Oli has an indoor and outdoor seating area should you wish to eat in, or they can wrap or box up your food for takeaway, whichever suits you best. You can even call ahead and give your order, so if you’re in a rush and need to get back to the office, it’ll be ready and waiting for you to collect.
They have the largest range of salad dressings I have ever seen and I love the ‘make your own’ option where you pick the type of bread, or wrap, or salad, select your greens, your meat, any cheeses and your dressing. If you prefer something off the menu, that’s not a problem either. I highly recommend the turkey and cranberry ciabatta, I’m a big fan of sweet and savoury together.
J’Oli is not just a great place to have lunch in Sliema, it is a community, a lifestyle. Their website offers a newsletter to keep you up to date with their offers, as well as a ‘Healthy Bites’ section where you can find tips and recipes to help you eat healthily.
J’Oli is perfect for people who want to eat well, love food, savour flavour and, whether you have a personal favourite or don’t know what you fancy, you’ll be sure to find something to tickle those taste buds.
